This photo shoot was done in collaboration with the "I'm Fine" ceramic mask-making project.
These portraits of the masks and their makers is from the project's workshop that took place in Allegheny County during the spring of 2023. It was hosted by the Center for Creativity at Pitt University. These photos and masks will be on display at the Susquehanna Art Museum from February through May 2024.
About"I'm Fine"and their mission: "Initiated by co-curators Carrie Breschi and Maureen Joyce in 2019, I’m fine. consists of a series of workshops where participants create ceramic masks that represent the outward “mask” each wears to portray, hide or minimize their emotions and mental health challenges. I’m fine. workshops have made over 1,300 masks so far."
